Bowling tryouts will be held at Shindig Entertainment at 4pm on October 5th and 6th. This is open to boys and girls. Students must have an active physical on file in order to tryout. See Mrs. Wingler to sign up. Remote learners may email Mrs. Wingler at email@example.com.
Remote Learners Survey
This survey needs to be completed by the parent/guardian of all remote learners. We need to know what your intentions are for the 2nd nine weeks. Please complete the survey by Monday, September 28th. The survey has also been posted within Schoology. It only needs to be completed once per student.
October 7th Testing Day
Students in grades 10 and 12, both remote and on-campus will participate in their state assessment, and students in grades 9 and 11 will work on their lessons from home. According to CDC and ACT guidelines, testing rooms must allot for 6ft space between testers. This means fewer students in testing rooms, which will require additional testing staff to be utilized.
All students in grade 10 (both remote and on-campus) should report to their high school on October 7th at the normal reporting time. These students will take the Pre ACT which provides them with practice for the ACT test and measures of progress towards college readiness.
All students in grade 12 (remote and on-campus) should report to their high school on October 7th at normal reporting time. These students will take ACT WorkKeys which are research-based measures of foundational work skills required for success across industries and occupations.
Once testing concludes, students may sign out and return home to continue their learning for the day. Parent permission is required for students to leave campus. Schools will communicate sign out procedures
Buses will run their normal routes, and will pick up any bus rider in grades 10 and 12 at the regular morning pick up time. The bus will not run again until the afternoon route. If 10th or 12th grade bus riders are unable to sign out after testing, they will continue their learning at school until the end of the day.
Carry out lunches will be available for all testers as they prepare to leave campus.
Just to recap—all 10th and 12th grade students should report to their high school on October 7th to take their specified ACT assessment. Test takers will be allowed to sign out once testing is completed and all 9th and 11th grade students will learn from home on that day.
