• Bulletin- Tuesday, September 26, 2023 

     

    • Be sure to vote for your class team for the Battle of the ClassesVoting begins today and ends Wednesday. Your Advisory teacher has the QR code to vote. 

     

    • Pomping for Homecoming Boards begins this week! Make plans to join your friends after school! 

     

     

    • Student tickets for the homecoming dance are on sale now through Oct. 3rd at NOON. No tickets will be sold at the door and no exceptions will be made. Teachers have received QR codes for purchasing the tickets. If you are purchasing a ticket for a guest who is NOT a TCHS student- you must get a Guest Form from your Advisory teacher and return it by Oct. 4th at the end of advisory. No guest will be allowed without the form. No exceptions will be made. We can’t wait to see you dressed up at the dance! 

     

    • Fellowship of Christian Athletes- the next meeting will be today at 7:15. Join us as we pursue Jesus together & seek God’s best for County High students. We meet in the Community Room and end when the bells rings for 1st block. Hope to see you there. 

     

    • Track and Field tryouts will be Thursday, Sept. 28 at 3:30 pm. Students who signed up before the deadline should check the email address they used for signup for more details. 

     

    • Attention National Honor Society Members- our next meeting will be this Thursday before school at 7:30am and immediately after school. Both will be in the library. We have lots to discuss so please make plans to attend one of them! 

     

    • Join the Fan Club in the HOCO parade! Walk in school appropriate cos play. It is free to walk, but a signed permission form is required. Pick up a permission form from Mr. Buchwalter room 1404 or Mrs. Black in the library. 

     

    • HOSA will be sponsoring a fall blood drive through LifeSouth Friday, Sept 29th in the Community Room from 8-3. Sign-ups will be during lunch Wed, Sept 27 and Thurs, Sept 28. You must be 16 years old with a parental consent to donate or 17 without a consent. You can pick up a parental consent at sign-ups. Bring a photo ID with you on the day of the drive. 1st and 2nd block exams are that day, so plan accordingly. See Mrs. Workman in room 1206 for questions. 

     

    • 9TH GRADERS. WOW is looking for a few students to act as ambassadors. If you are interested in having a video crew follow you during wow to help promote WOW to next year’s up and coming 9th grade, please use the QR Code below to sign up By September 28th. Mrs. Mac and Mrs. Costanzo will choose 2 students from the list to serve as the TCHS WOW ambassadors. 

     

     

    • Seniors- A representative from the University of Montevallo will be on campus Wednesday, September 27th during lunch. If you have any questions about admissions, scholarships, or their postsecondary programs- please stop by and see them. 

     

    • FTA/ Future Teacher’s of Alabama will hold their 1st meeting on Thursday September 28th during advisory in Mrs. Fanning’s classroom. Members will need to check in with their advisory teachers during break and report to room 1219 no later than 9:25. (9/27).  

     

    • Tutoring is now available on Monday and Wednesday afternoons immediately after school in the libraryNo sign up is required. 

     

    • Students if you are taking an ACCESS course, you need to be completed with 1st nine-weeks material by October 12. Please plan accordingly....as the program will not allow you to go back and work on 1st nine week material after October 12. Remember- all tests and exams must be taken on campus.

    • Are you interested in Robotics, Electrical Work and or like to Repurpose and Re-Engineer electrical equipment. Want a Career Making upwards of &100,000 a year with a 2 year degree? Then our new ILT program (Industrial Maintenance) might be a good fit for you. If interested, please see Mrs. Mac or Scan the ILT QR code’s located around the school or on Schoology Announcements to schedule your visit today. Must register by this Friday- September 29th 

     

     

    • Are you a 10-12 grade student and want to a part of the WOW Varsity Interactive Career Experience on October 5th? TCHS will be taking a bus that afternoon for any student who wants to attend. Please use the WOW varsity Ride Share QR code around campus to sign up, or check it out on Schoology in the announcement section. Last day to sign up is this Friday-September 29 

     

     

     

     

    • Students a Dual Enrollment/ Early College Folder has been added to your Schoology- This is not a class, but rather a way for you to access Dual Enrollment/Early College information via Schoology. Participation forms are also located outside the counseling suite. Mrs. Mac will start accepting participation forms Monday. You may drop them off in the main office or email them to jmcgillivray@tcss.net 

     

    • WE STILL WANT YOUR SHOES! DECA is collecting gently used, good condition, or new shoes that you no longer want to see sitting in your closet! These shoes will be donated to 26 different impoverished countries around the world to better their economies. Find the designated box in the commons outside the gym or drop them off with Mrs. Julian in room 1303. 

     

    • Come out to Big Blue Bible Study every Thursday morning before school in the library! It starts at 7:30. Hope to see you there!
