    • Students please take a few moments to be sure your Outlook email, Schoology and One Drive accounts are working. Is your battery holding a charge all school day? If not, please tell your Advisor, so they can put in a work order.  


    • If you find someone else’s iPad, take it to a teacher or bring it to the library. Do NOT keep it thinking you will get it back to the student yourself. 


    • If you missed picture day......fear not......Make up Picture Day will be October 20th. Underclassmen, mark your calendars, because this will be the last day to get your picture in the yearbook.  


    • Congratulations to the October Students of the Month! These students have shown exceptional character, leadership, effort, attendance and positivity in the classroom. They will receive a prize from Shelton State at our Student of the Month Donut Party in November!

    • The Volleyball Team will have an in-school game today vs Pelham. Tickets will be sold for $5 at lunch. Come out and support your wildcats!  


    • It’s time to BeReal , the yearbook staff needs your help, look for the flyers posted around the school. scan the QR code or find us on Instagram at Tuscohi_yearbook. Send them all the BeReal you've taken at school or at school events. Make sure it's appropriate For the yearbook.  


    •Alabama's College Application Week is October 17th-21st, 2022. During this week, there will be computer labs open to all seniors to apply to college and admission reps on campus. Most colleges and universities waive their application fees during this time! It is possible to go ahead and begin the process, save the application and wait to submit it this week! 


    • Fan Club invites all students who enjoy gaming and fandoms to purchase a ticket for Gamer’s Day this Friday from noon until 3:00pm in the TCHS Library. Tickets are $5 and include a drink and snack. Tickets may be purchased from Mrs. Black In the library or Mr. Buchwalter room 1404.  


    • TC Green is having a Tree Planting Fundraiser! Please bring money to donate to your Advisory teacher. The Advisory class with the most money raised will earn a school activity day to help plant the trees and a free lunch provided. Let’s make the school a better place together! 


    • Seniors: Workkeys testing is just around the corner.  All seniors will be testing this Wednesday, October 5.  from 7:45-12:00 ish.  Please come prepared with the following: ID, #2 Pencil, Approved Calculator.   If you CO_OP please talk to your employer about reporting to work after 1:00. 


    • WOW is an interactive Career Fair that 9th graders will be attending on October 13th from 10-2.  Please return your permission slip to your advisory teacher today. All slips are due no later than October 7. 


    • 10-12th graders also have a chance to attend WOW Varsity from 2:00-6:00pm on October 13th.  You must register with WOW before attending.  If you need a ride, TCHS will be hosting a Ride Share from 2:30-4:30.  You must sign up with TCHS to participate in Ride Share no later than October 7th.  Flyers are posted around the school or you can check with your advisory teacher for sign up information. 


    • Anyone in Coach McGee’s AP Environmental classes need to check Schoology for some important information. (Oct. 7) 


    • Today’s notable figure for Hispanic Heritage Month is Jennifer Lopez.  

    • Jennifer Lopez, also known as J-LO is a singer, dancer, and actress. She was born on July 24, 1969. She was the first woman to have a number 1 movie and a number 1 album debut in the same week. The movie was The Wedding Planner and the album was J.LO. Since the start of her career in 1986, she has starred in numerous movies and produced numerous Billboard hits. She is the richest person of Latin American descent in Hollywood according to Forbes Magazine.
