February 26, 2021
The window is now open for TCSS students to select their learning option for fourth nine weeks. Please read carefully below to see which action you should take.
Current (Third Nine Weeks) On-Campus Learners:
If you choose to remain an On-Campus Learner for third nine weeks, no action is needed. Your school will automatically keep you classified as an On-Campus Learner.
If you choose to become a Remote Learner for fourth nine weeks, the student and parent/guardian must contact their school administrator no later than Friday, March 5, 2021, at Noon.
Current (Third Nine Weeks) Remote Learners:
Please visit this page to notify your school of your learning option (link inactive after March 5) for fourth nine weeks. All current Remote Learners should respond. The deadline to make this notification is Friday, March 5, at Noon. The deadline is prior to the start of the fourth nine weeks, in order to give schools planning time to accommodate both On-Campus and Remote Learners.
In the fourth nine weeks, remote learning will be similar to what students have experienced in third nine weeks, as far as format and online delivery methods. If there are any changes or adjustments remote learners and families should know about, they will recieve information from their school.
In the Expectations & Requirements of TCSS Remote Learners document (link below), remote learners will find more information about the specific uses of Edgenuity and Schoology. They will also find more information about working with their remote learning coach, as well as measures to ensure remote learners do not fall behind in their learning.
Fourth nine weeks remote learners, and their parents/guardians, should review this document, as well as the document titled Expectations & Requirements of Parents/Guardians of TCSS Remote Learners.
This section of our web site also includes more information about Edgenuity and links to videos about Edgenuity.
