Some people ask me why do I work as a Janitor. I always say “Never continue in a job you don’t enjoy.” Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. God has allowed me to do just that. The knowledge and wisdom I’ve learned over the years has helped me to become better at my job.
“Your job is not just to do what your parents say, what your teachers say, what society says. But to figure out what your heart calling is and be led by that”. Oprah Winfrey couldn’t not have stated it any better. I am grateful and continuing to look forward to working many more years for Tuscaloosa County Board of Education.
Please welcome our new secretary, Mrs. Winegarden to our NIS family!!! She will become a very familiar and friendly face for all of our parents and students.
Hi, I'm Ashley Winegarden! My family recently moved back to Tuscaloosa after 9 years away from the place that has always felt like home. My parents have lived in Tuscaloosa for 20+ years, so this town has been in my family's heart for a long time. I am a mom of four kids: Haley (20), Drew (17), Brodie (15), and Andie Kate (11). My husband, Adam Winegarden, is the new Head Football Coach at Tuscaloosa County High School. Being a coach's wife for the past 21years and a mom has shaped so much of my heart for these next generations of kids, and how I want to see kids grow up to be confident in who they are, stewards of their talents, and people of character. My children have exposed me to many different art forms and sports, and I believe in the importance of versatility in education. I am so excited to begin working at Northport Intermediate, seeing all the new faces, getting to know everyone and most importantly, helping make a difference in the community with you all.
