Bio
Hello! My name is Rachel Sweigard (pronounced “Swy-guard” if anyone is curious), and I am very excited to be a Wildcat! I am originally from Jasper, Alabama, but Tuscaloosa has always felt like a second home to me because I have many family members in the area. I knew very early on that I wanted to be a teacher because I had several teachers who went above and beyond to invest in me as a student and as a person and I wanted to “pay it back.” I truly love my job and I am here because I want to be here! In my free time, I love reading anything I can get my hands on, hiking, traveling (I have been fortunate enough to visit 25 states and 17 countries!), and spending time with friends and family. I am looking forward to a great year at TCHS!

**The best way for parents and students to stay informed of academic progress is to gain access to their PowerSchool portal and check it weekly.

To join the Remind account for your class, text one of the following codes to 81010 or enter it on the Remind app.
