My name is Bernetta Stewart and I have been a Holt Ironmen since September 2021. I am from Birmingham, AL and attended UAB where I received a Bachelors and Masters degree in Collaborative Teaching. I will receive certification in Instructional Leadership in December 2021. I have been in education for over 17 years and have worked as a paraprofessional, teacher, Work Instruction Coordinator and a Special Education Specialist.
I am in the business of children. I am committed to teaching and learning and preparing students for life after high school. It is my responsibility to make sure that every opportunity is afforded to my students to become productive citizens in their own rights.
I am a newlywed and have recently relocated to the Tuscaloosa area from Birmingham. I am the proud mother of three children- two daughters, Robin, 30 and Mesha, 29, and one son, Reggie, 26 and an even prouder grandma (Nana) of 4- Brooklyn Inez,10; Rachael Nicole, 3; Raileigh Alexandria, 3; and Jeremy Keith, 3 months. I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, and am very active in my church.
I am truly excited to be a part of Tuscaloosa County Schools and preparing our students to be College and Career Ready!
