Message to Students and Families on Holt High Leadership Transition

  • February 25, 2022

Holt High School Students and Families,

I wanted to share a brief update with you on the leadership of Holt High, following Mr. Riley’s resignation. As you know, Mr. Riley recently provided me with his letter of resignation, and his resignation was approved by the Board of Education at its meeting earlier this week.

On Tuesday, March 1, Mrs. Reba Caldwell will begin providing interim administrative support at Holt High. Mrs. Caldwell is a retired TCSS high school principal, and she has served in interim administrative roles at other TCSS schools, throughout her retirement. Mrs. Caldwell and Ms. Drinkard will lead the Holt High staff, while the search for the next Principal of Holt High School begins. The principal position will be posted as soon as possible. Our TCSS Central Office will seek input from Holt High faculty and staff, on qualities they believe are important for the next principal of Holt High School to possess.

Thank you for your support, as we work to identify the next leader of Holt High. I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead for Holt High School.

    Sincerely,

    Keri C. Johnson, Ed.D.

    Superintendent

    Tuscaloosa County School System
