    Bio
Hi! My name is Amie Weeks and I love being a teacher at Huntington Place Elementary School! I love teaching in the community that my family and I live in!  I was born and raised in Mountain Brook, Alabama, where most of my family still resides. I attended the University of Alabama and received both my Bachelor and Master's Degrees in Education.

In 1999, I began my teaching career in Shelby County at Oak Mountain Intermediate School. In June of 2001, I married my husband, Curt Weeks, and then moved to Northport to continue teaching. Curt is the head basketball coach at Tuscaloosa County High School. We have two daughters named Hannah and Bailee! They are the light of our lives! We enjoy Alabama and County High athletics, spending time outdoors, and being together!

My goal as your child's teacher is to not only prepare them for middle school, but I want to also prepare them for life.  I try to incorporate life lessons daily in my classroom through lots of conversation and experiences.  I strive to build relationships with my class and create a family-like atmosphere.  I am looking forward to an awesome year with my class!
