    8th grade Summer Reading


    Students enrolled in 8th grade Scholars must read one of these novels over the summer. Scholars students will complete an assessment on their chosen book upon the return to school.  This will be the first major grade of the nine weeks, so it is important to complete the reading before August 7, 2019.


    We encourage all students to participate in Summer Reading.  Regular English students who participate will be given the opportunity to complete the assessment for extra credit.

    Important Information for Students and Parents Regarding TCSS Virtual Learning Program:

    • Window for completing the online application and survey is June 1 through July 20
    • Required student/parent orientation session at the TCSS Central Office
      • Friday, July 26 from 8:30 AM until 12:00 PM
    • Students accepted to the program report to the Central Office on August 8 for their first day of school.
    • After August 8, 2019, students have 5 days to determine whether or not they wish to continue the program.
    • After August 15, 2019, students will remain a full-time online students for the duration of the 2019-2020 school year.
    • Students who fall an entire unit behind have accrued an equivalent of 10 unexcused absences; therefore, a referral will be made to EWP.

    Thank you to all who have purchased a yearbook.  At this point, all sales have ended.  We will have a very limited number of yearbooks for sale after they are received in May.  These will be sold at a 'first come; first served' basis and yearbooks will cost $45.00.  Please wait for further announcements regarding when this sale will take place.  No more yearbooks may be purchased through MySchoolFees as of 4/8/2019.  Thank you.

    All students entering 6th grade must have the TDAP shot/ Updated Certificate of Immunization at schedule pick up for the 2019-2020 School year. The shot is typically administered around 11-12 years old. If you do not present an updated Certificate of Immunization your Child WILL NOT receive a schedule.

    This site is for parents to pay for their child's school meals using a credit or debit card. With this online service, parents can also view a child's cafeteria purchases, make payments for their children even if they attend different schools, and set up automatic email reminders to be notified when a payment is needed.
