A special congratulations goes out to Hillcrest High School’s JROTC Academic Bowl Team which has advanced to round two of the national Academic Bowl Competition. This is the largest high school academic competition in the United States. Hillcrest’s JROTC program is the only high school team in the county system that has advanced to round two.
SGA members have a meeting in the library Wednesday, December 11th after school in the library.
Tryouts for the track team will be Wednesday, December 11th at 3:30 on the band field.
If you are in need of tutoring, we have several options available for you - During school: Our Peer Helpers will tutor 9th-10th graders four days a week during Enrichment, and National Honor Society will tutor 11th-12th graders on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ask your teacher to submit a form requesting help for you. After school: We have math tutoring by Mu Alpha Theta in room 408, Mrs. Dennis’ room, every Tuesday 3:15-4:00 and all subjects by the National Honor Society in room 401, Mrs. Hydrick’s room, every Wednesday 3:15-4:00. No sign up is necessary for after- school tutoring.
The National Guard wants to take students on college visits, feed them lunch, and explain how they can have their college tuition paid for. See Mrs. Woodroof ASAP if you are interested.
